I am a California-based associate marriage and family therapist with a background in writing, the performing arts, and domestic violence prevention. I work with fellow writers and artists, other creatives, domestic violence survivors, those wrestling with family and intimate relationship issues, those trying to heal from past trauma, those suffering from anxiety and depression, those experiencing disconnections between their minds and bodies, and those with existential dilemmas. As a Jewish therapist, I am also deeply familiar with struggles related to Judaism, Jewish identity, Jewish families, and Jewish culture.
As a therapist, I will always strive to see you, the client, for the unique individual that you are. That means actively listening and responding to what brings you to therapy, what you want to get out of the process, and what therapeutic approaches resonate or do not resonate with you. I am also someone who values integrity, meaning I will never make promises that I can “cure” you or that I have all the answers. The only promise I will make is that with each session, I do my best to be fully present and always put your needs first in the therapeutic relationship.
I integrate humanistic, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based CBT orientations in addition to employing somatic and creative arts interventions. My overall approach is integrative, non-judgmental, and collaborative, and I will honor whatever it is you bring into our therapy space.
