JTC Allies

Resources for therapists and community leaders who want to show up for the Jewish community more supportively.

Extend an olive branch

Dear Allies,

Welcome to the Jewish Therapist Collective! We’re so glad you’re here, extending an open heart and curious mind in the spirit of warm connection and learning. Our intentions are twofold: supporting the needs of both Jewish therapists and Jewish psychotherapy clients, so connecting with you so you can connect better with your Jewish colleagues and clients is squarely in our hearts!

Some of the ways we are here for you, and invite you to join us, are:

  • A calendar full of webinars, events, and advocacy endeavors. Many of these have no cost, while some are low fee, to subsidize labor and CE costs or to fund further course development. We offer cultural and clinical competency webinars through our learning center, The Ronete Cohen Institute, as well as the chance to get involved with our Advocacy Council and stay on top of what our community is doing to make the clinical world a richer space. You’ll be able to see, in the description of events in our calendar, which are “open to all” versus which are designated as affinity spaces (meaning an event is restricted to identified members of a population, in furtherance of the wellbeing—safety, privacy—of that demographic).
  • A wealth of clinician-experts for you to call upon to consult one-to-one, or to offer custom webinars or workshop sessions for your practice, counseling center, educational institute, house of worship, or community organization. Well versed in advocacy, community development, higher education, and faith-based community needs, we can easily sculpt programming to your community’s needs in a way that’s engaging and effective. We are also available to co-sponsor or collaboratively build events.
  • Clinicians and academics to quickly fill in gaps, bring a topic alive, provide crucial insight, or otherwise round out your journalistic or podcasting project. And, we have hundreds of willing community members who can be of service to offer answers, quotes, or interviews no matter how niched your specs appear.  (Check out our directory or email us for more).

If you’re one of the dozens of psychotherapists, journalists, or community leaders who have found our open door and strong advocacy to be valuable, we would love it if you felt inspired to share this page (or any on our site) with colleagues who could benefit and grow as allies or kick in whatever donation might feel comfortable (but of course, no pressure!). It helps us out a TON when you link back to us from articles, include us in the resource sections of your practice or organization’s website, tag us or share our posts on the socials, and similar.

Thank you so much for your allyship! We appreciate your extended hand and shared vision of inclusivity and dignity for Jewish clients and colleagues!

With Our Deepest Kindness,
Halina Brooke and the JTC Team
