You may be navigating the long-term effects of growing up in an environment where your needs, emotions, or identity weren’t fully safe, or where religion or spirituality once provided meaning but later became a source of fear, shame, or confusion. Many of the adults I work with carry complex or developmental trauma and are trying to untangle who they are outside of survival, obedience, or self-blame.
I work with adults healing from complex and developmental trauma, including the impact of religious trauma and spiritual harm. Clients often come to therapy feeling anxious, disconnected from their bodies, chronically self-critical, or unsure how to trust their own inner experience. Some are grieving the loss of faith or community; others are holding anger, loyalty conflicts, or fear about questioning beliefs that once structured their world.
My approach is somatic, relational, and trauma-informed, integrating attachment-based therapy, internal parts work, and nervous system regulation. Sessions move at a pace that prioritizes safety and choice. Rather than pushing for insight or change, we pay attention to what your body is communicating, make room for conflicting parts of you, and build stability before moving deeper.
This work can be especially supportive if you’ve had past therapy experiences that felt rushed, overly cognitive, or minimizing, or if you’ve learned to override your own needs in order to stay safe or belong. Therapy here is collaborative and respectful, with an emphasis on restoring agency, self-trust, and a sense of internal steadiness.
I offer a warm, grounded space where vulnerability is met with care and curiosity, not judgment. If you’re unsure whether therapy will help, or hesitant about reaching out, that makes sense, especially given what you may have lived through. You’re welcome to send a brief message sharing what you’re navigating, and we can take the next step together.
