I’ve had 42 years of experience with a very wide range of clients. Having lived in Israel for 55 years and the U.S. for 24, I see myself as both Israeli and American.
I find that every client is unique and I have to learn her/him as we go along. Therefore I have a number of different approaches and techniques (such as dynamic therapy, Somatic Experiencing, CBT, Mind-Body, and more) that I can call upon to help different people in ways that suit them: fit the help to the client, not the client to my knowledge/beliefs. The people I like most to work with are those who are motivated and understand that they’ll have to work to get results. I love to work outdoors, walking or sitting. I feel that there is room for humor and joy in therapy, no less than pain and tears.
Licensing concerns: I am a licensed Senior/Supervising Clinical Psychologist in Israel. I worked in private practice and public health settings in Israel for 39 years. Here I work under the title Life Counselor, which isn’t regulated and doesn’t require a license. Unfortunately, the existing insurance plans do not reimburse for counseling.
We'll be available to share more exciting information about our Israel Experience this summer, including some of the incredible pieces of the itinerary we won't be posting on the website! We'll also be on hand to answer questions and help support you as you navigate moving forward in hopes of joining us!
