About My Practice

I’m Paula Kirsch, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and dual board-certified sex therapist offering telehealth therapy across Connecticut, New York, and Michigan. I hold certification through the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists (IAPST) and the International Board of Sexuality Professionals (IBOSP), and am currently pursuing my PhD in Clinical Sexology at Modern Sex Therapy Institutes.

Sex therapy is the center of my practice — not a sideline. I specialize in women’s sexual health across the lifespan, including sexual and pelvic pain, vaginismus, dyspareunia, desire discrepancy, postpartum sexual concerns, and menopause. I also work with couples navigating intimacy challenges, communication breakdown, and infidelity recovery, and bring Gottman Method training to that work. For presentations where trauma is part of the picture, I incorporate Brainspotting — a body-based, evidence-supported modality that gets to places conversation alone often can’t reach. Brainspotting intensives are also available for clients who need more concentrated work.

I am genuinely affirming of LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, and welcoming of clients in kink, polyamorous, and ethically non-monogamous relationships.
