It can be so difficult to be a teen and have mental health struggles…the only thing that might be more difficult is being their parent! I am a family therapist who will work with any combination of people: whole families, parents only, teenagers, teenagers/parents, etc. I have worked with a variety of challenging diagnoses and I specialize in kids with anxiety/depression/ADHD, school refusal, and kids who have frequent suicidal or self-harm urges. I work in a variety of ways; although I prefer to see families in person, I am willing to work with parents or individuals virtually. I believe in a strengths-based approach; we look at where there have been successes in the past to build the present you would like. I am affirming of all identities and have worked with a number of teenagers whose identities can be challenging their families to understand.
I am a mother of two young adults in the Metro Boston area. I am a woman who is Jewish by choice and who is active in our Temple’s social, educational, and advocacy groups. I believe we are all here to make the world a better place and that that starts with creating healthy, thriving families.
