Profile
I’m a gay, Jewish-American therapist, AASECT-certified in sex therapy, and a couples therapist. I studied and practiced in Israel for several years before building my practice in the US. For the past three years, much of my work has been with gay and queer Jews who have lost friends, chosen family, colleagues, and mentors to anti-Jewish hate. This is my community, and I’m committed to it.
Many of the people I work with have been exiled twice. First from Jewish spaces that had no room for their sexuality, whether that came as rejection, silence, or outright abuse. Then from the queer spaces where they built their lives, which turned on them for being Jewish, for being Israeli, or for refusing to renounce their connection to Israel as the price of belonging. Some were pushed out loudly. Others just stopped getting invited. Either way, what’s left is grief, hypervigilance, and a real question about whether it’s safe to be fully known anywhere.
That kind of isolation doesn’t stay in one place. It shows up in dating, in desire, in the bedroom, and in how much of yourself you let a partner see. As a sex and couples therapist, I work with erectile difficulties, performance anxiety, and desire discrepancy, and with couples whose differences, Israeli and American, Ashkenazi and Mizrachi, observant and secular, are surfacing in the relationship. I’m warm, curious, and direct, and I bring myself into the room. I’m not here to just listen. I’m active throughout the session, using our relationship as a live indicator of how you relate to others outside of it. Our past informs a lot of our present, but my goal isn’t to keep you there. It’s to help you rebuild your capacity for trust and connection today.
With me, you don’t have to explain your identity, defend your connection to Israel, or brace for being pathologized. You don’t have to decide which part of yourself to leave at the door: not your Jewishness, not your sexuality, not the parts you haven’t figured out yet. If you’re ready to rebuild, with your partner, within your community, or within yourself, I’m here to help you get there.
