My name is Jessica Ariel Odin, and I am a Reform Jewish therapist and Licensed Master Social Worker practicing in Connecticut. I earned my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from Smith College and completed my Master of Social Work at Columbia University, with a specialization in Advanced Clinical Practice.
I am a staff therapist and trauma fellow at The Rowan Center’s Trauma Recovery Practice in Stamford, CT. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. I have a particular clinical focus on working with victims and survivors of sexual violence, and I bring a trauma-informed, compassionate approach to this work. I support clients navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use, and I welcome a wide range of concerns and life experiences. I am currently in the process of completing EMDR training, with training scheduled to be completed by the end of this month.
I am deeply committed to supporting Jewish clients, especially as we navigate these uncertain times. I believe there is real value in working with a therapist who shares your cultural and religious background; someone with whom you don’t have to explain the holidays, the history, or the weight some of us carry, spoken or unspoken. That shared understanding can create a strong sense of safety and ease in the therapeutic space.
I believe wholly in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship; that real change comes from feeling truly seen, and from trusting someone who cares deeply about you and your story. I welcome the opportunity to be a safe, grounded space for Jewish clients, and to walk alongside you through whatever life has brought your way.
