I’m a psychotherapist specializing in developmental trauma. I work with people who have learned to adapt to relationships and environments that were unsafe, unpredictable, or unable to consistently meet their needs for safety, connection, and acceptance. Over time, these adaptations can become patterns that continue to shape how we relate to ourselves, our relationships, and the world.
I believe that what we refer to as symptoms or problematic patterns are, in fact, adaptations we had to make to survive and maintain connection in difficult circumstances. Sometimes this means disconnecting from or pushing away parts of ourselves in order to create safety, feel accepted, or cared for. Therapy offers an opportunity to understand these processes with curiosity and compassion, reconnect with parts of ourselves that may have been shunned, and develop new possibilities for being in relationship with ourselves and others.
My work draws from trauma-informed psychotherapy, parts work, and body- and brain-based approaches, including neurofeedback. I believe that we have an innate capacity to heal and that much of what we need for healing is already within us. My role is not to fix or change who you are, but to help create the safety and space that allow your own capacity for healing to emerge.
As a Jewish therapist, I welcome the ways Jewish identity, culture, family, history, spirituality, values, and community may be part of a person’s therapeutic experience. Jewish identity can be deeply meaningful, complicated, or both. I strive to create a safe space for exploring questions of belonging, connection, tradition, faith, difference, and meaning, as well as the ways individual and communal Jewish experiences intersect with relationships and trauma and inform our sense of self.
I am humbled by the opportunity to support people who strive to understand themselves more deeply and experience greater freedom in how they live, relate, and move through the world.
