The name of my practice, Willow Living Strategies, reflects my beliefs about the process of therapy. Willow trees are resilient. They can grow in some of the harshest conditions, and are able to make a great deal, from very little. They are lasting, and whatever the challenge, they rise. Grow. Thrive. They are a metaphor and reminder of what I work to create collaboratively with my clients. My therapeutic approach is integrated, using a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma and somatic interventions, which are tailored for each individual client. I am also a 500+ hour trained yoga instructor. I don’t work the exact same way with every client, because no two people are the same. My practice largely focuses on adults, although I do work with some later teens, and I also in couple’s counseling. I tend to thrive as a clinician and see my clients thrive, when they are ready to be engaged and part of a collaborative process- I’m not a ‘just nod my head while you talk for an hour’ kind of therapist! I find the greatest joy in my practice lately in supporting my Jewish clients, and providing them a supportive space in which their identity and unique challenges and strengths can thrive.
