Profile
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who works with women healing from attachment trauma, childhood sexual abuse, and mother–daughter sexual abuse. Many of the women I work with grew up emotionally unprotected, in families or systems where their needs, boundaries, or safety were dismissed, minimized, or left unaddressed.
This early lack of protection shapes how safety, closeness, and self-trust are felt in the body. Many clients learned to manage other people’s emotions, stay quiet to preserve connection, or disconnect from their bodies in order to survive. These patterns often remain active well into adulthood, showing up as people-pleasing, self-doubt, difficulty setting boundaries, and chronic tension in relationships.
I work with Jewish women who are looking for a therapist they do not have to translate themselves for. Many are navigating the layered impact of attachment trauma alongside the experience of being Jewish in a world where safety, belonging, and being believed cannot be taken for granted. In therapy, you do not have to minimize your history, explain Jewish context, or silence parts of yourself to be understood.
My Approach to Therapy
My work is relational, body-based, and attachment-focused. I integrate somatic therapy, attachment theory, and nervous system work to help clients understand how trauma lives in the body and how early relational experiences continue to shape present-day life.
This is especially important for survivors of childhood sexual abuse and mother–daughter sexual abuse, where betrayal occurred inside relationships that were meant to offer protection. Healing happens through repeated experiences of being witnessed, believed, and responded to in real time, rather than through pressure to recount or relive what happened.
We slow things down enough to notice what happens as it happens. How your body responds to closeness. How you move away from yourself to preserve connection. How quickly old survival strategies come online. Therapy becomes a place where your nervous system can experience something different: staying present without having to manage, appease, or disappear.
What You Can Expect From Working With Me
Our work is paced carefully and collaboratively. You are not expected to tell your entire story at once or explain yourself perfectly. Over time, many clients notice:
- A growing ability to trust their own signals and boundaries
- Less people-pleasing and over-responsibility in relationships
- Increased capacity to stay present during closeness and uncertainty
- A felt sense of safety and steadiness in the body
For Jewish women who were silenced or dismissed inside trusted systems, therapy also becomes a place where your experience is taken seriously without negotiation. Your story does not have to be softened to be held.
Logistics
