I’m Carly Stanton, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board‑Certified Music Therapist (MT‑BC) offering virtual therapy for Jewish adults in Florida and Pennsylvania who are tired of having to explain themselves — to their non‑Jewish friends, to their more or less observant family, and sometimes to themselves.
Jewish identity is rarely simple. It’s religion and culture and history and trauma and food and family and argument and belonging and not belonging, sometimes all at once. Whether Judaism feels central to your life, culturally important, painful, comforting, confusing, or all of the above, therapy can be a place to sort through what it actually means to you, without anyone pushing you toward a particular relationship with it.
I’m Jewish — raised Conservative, and I now identify as “just Jewish.” I understand the specific texture of Jewish family dynamics, communal pressure, and the weight of collective history — including what it’s been like to be Jewish since October 7th. You won’t have to explain the basics.
I work best with Jewish adults who are questioning, rebuilding, or somewhere in between — people navigating identity, faith, family wounds, antisemitism, neurodivergence, queerness, or the exhaustion of existing in a world that keeps making your community’s pain feel invisible or contested. You don’t have to be certain about where you stand to come in. You just need to be ready to figure it out together.
