JTC Directory Terms & Conditions

This Directory is open to qualified Jewish psychotherapists, therapy interns, and related clinical professionals (Psy, SW, MFT, MHC, RT, RD, SLP, OT, PT, PA, MD, DO, etc.) and clergy.  We believe that the gap in cultural competency for therapists serving Jewish clients, from secular to observant, across the political spectrum, and spanning all clinical needs and other layers of identity, must be mitigated by making Jewish therapists more visible and available to the clients and patients who need us.

To be on this list, you must have completed your training and be legally allowed to practice within your clinical field (or be an ordained rabbi, cantor, or trained leader).  Graduate student interns are permitted to register so long as they have permission from and list the name of their clinical supervisor and school.

Therapists/Listees are responsible for ensuring that their qualifications, liability insurance, and any other necessities for practice are current and compliant.  Therapists/listees are also responsible for keeping their contact information and scope of practice current.  So too, therapists/listees are responsible to ensure that they accurately represent their clinical and cultural competencies and are free to edit profiles throughout the duration of their presence in the directory.

We reserve the right to terminate your membership in this directory without refund if your clinical credential gets revoked and/or if we learn that you have misrepresented your identity, qualifications or cultural/clinical competencies.  If you are facing or have been through adjudication and found to be at fault in a legal or regulatory setting for ethical or legal transgressions, please contact us immediately so we can collaborate on what happens with your membership in this time—we reserve the right to de-list any profile as a result of conduct that could impact client safety and care.

Membership in this directory is likely considered a business expense for tax purposes and, while the bulk of the fees go toward advocacy and community support efforts for Jewish therapists, mental health for the Jewish community, and advocacy efforts, we are not a “non profit” for tax purposes.  Directory payments and renewals will run specific to the option participants select, either yearly or monthly.  Participants are responsible to cancel prior to renewal date if they wish to do so.

Please contact us if you’d like to sponsor listings for colleagues or communities in need, or with any questions, at info@jewishtherapists.org.
