As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (MSW and LCSW) who is also Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) and certified in  EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). 

I  have worked with families around issues of pregnancy, birth and parenting for over 30 years.  I have in-depth experience in the areas of women and children’s health including pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenting issues as well as pediatric health concerns — illness, palliative and hospice care.  My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and integrative.  

I  have led parenting groups that focus on new motherhood/parenthood as well as bereavement groups for parents.  I have  also taught childbirth education classes, parenting classes and breastfeeding classes all with a focus on tuning into your own natural, intuitive nature.  

In addition to a professional certification as a Childbirth Educator, I am a Breastfeeding Consultant and Birth and Postpartum Doula, which informs my approach to the care I provide.

I work with my clients to help them discover their true selves through introspection, empathy and exploration.  I am experienced working with diverse populations and approach each client holistically.  I provide a safe, compassionate place for my clients to explore their challenges and create a new direction that is satisfying and gratifying.  

I have experience in understanding how trauma and neglect, as well as emotional, physical, and sexual abuse all can impact a person’s birthing process, birth choices, breastfeeding, postpartum body issues, motherhood, and parenting choices.  

Issues around unexpected outcomes, NICU births and unanticipated cesarean section can all be addressed.
