Profile
Hello, I am Shari Grande LCSW, PCI Parent Coach, Senior Certified ADHD Coach. I am based in Silicon Valley, and my practice is dedicated to supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those who identify as AuDHD, Autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, or who stutter, as well as the people who love, parent, collaborate with, or work alongside them.
My clients often self-identify as neurodivergent; formal diagnoses are not required. Many I serve are navigating challenges such as complex PTSD, shame, codependency, addiction, and issues related to food, weight, and body image challenges. I offer affirming support to help my clients navigate the often-misunderstood educational, mental health, and medical systems that frequently fail misunderstands neurodivergent lived experiences.
I am committed to fostering meaningful and sustainable growth for all of my clients. My understanding of diverse neurotypes is informed not only by many years of clinical experience but also by my own late-identified neurodivergence, which I discovered while parenting my now-grown sons – who continue to be my greatest sources of learning and inspiration.
My Jewish upbringing influenced my decision to pursue a career in psychotherapy. Like many Jewish therapists, I was raised in an environment grounded in strong philosophical and ethical principles. Although I do not consider myself religious in an observant sense, being Jewish has always been a core aspect of my identity.
I believe there is an opportunity for the mental health community to more consistently provide equitable care to Jewish clients, addressing this disparity is an important area for ongoing reflection and improvement. Following October 7, I have found it increasingly important to incorporate themes of collective and intergenerational trauma into my clinical practice. Through this process, I have come to understand that the pain many Jewish clients experience can often be characterized as “traumatic invalidation,” which may include feelings of blame, exclusion, and silencing from long-standing friends; responses that differ from respectful disagreement and can be deeply invalidating. My goal is to support clients in finding meaning within their experiences, while also acknowledging the grief and challenges associated with being Jewish person living in the United States today.
