Profile
Hello, my name is Sarah Kiss I was raised in a Jewish community in New York and lived in Israel for a decade where I studied my bachelors degree in psychology at Reichman University in Hertzeliya and then returned to the US to complete my masters degree in applied psychology mental health and wellness counseling at New York University. Today I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Colorado, and I support a diverse range of individuals as they make sense of their inner world, their relationships, and the stories that have shaped them. My approach is calm, collaborative, and grounded in connection. I show up with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that healing doesn’t have to be rushed.
I work with all ages and service individuals, couples, and families who are navigating many different forms of struggle including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity exploration, life transitions, ADHD , ASD, neurodivergence, and shifts in relationships or self-understanding.
Narrative therapy is an important part of my work. Together, we look at the stories you’ve lived through: The ones you’ve learned, inherited, or carried quietly for years, and begin to soften them, rewrite them, or hold them differently. I weave this approach with person-centered, trauma-informed, mindfulness, somatic, and relational work so that healing feels whole and embodied, not just intellectual.
My heart is especially drawn to supporting people within the Jewish community and those who carry family history in quiet or powerful ways. In our therapeutic alliance the Jewish culture, lineage, and lived experiences can be held with care, respectfully explored, understood, and made room for.
In addition to individual and relational therapy, I offer group therapy and bibliotherapy groups throughout the year, where people can learn, reflect, and connect through stories-by telling their own and listening to others’. These groups are gentle places for insight, self-expression, support, and growth in community.
If you’re searching for a place to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, and move gently toward change, you’re welcome here. We’ll navigate it together, one step at a time.
(I currently offer telehealth, and walk and talk services for Colorado residents, and as for out- of- state requests I can be authorized through the interstate counseling compact and can offer services outside of Colorado for private pay clients upon request. )
Looking forward to working with you!
