I’m Rachel Adler, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and that we all have the capacity to access a deeper level of knowing and connection to ourselves and our own healing. My job as a therapist is to provide the environment and the tools to empower you on this journey.
My goal is to create a sense of trust, a space that is free from judgment and the feeling that every part of you and your experience is safely held between us.
Therapy offers us the opportunity to live more intentionally, to create expansion in our understanding of self and others and to create change and progress in our own lives and in the world around us. My clients are people who are interested in deeply and honestly exploring their own experiences to create lasting change. Together, we will uncover the patterns in your life and explore the stories that you carry as you write the next chapter in your life’s journey.
As a former doula and childbirth educator, I was privileged to witness some of the most profound and challenging experiences that life has to offer. Sitting in these spaces I found a passion and curiosity for how we experience and process the big moments. I observed that holding space and intention for the events and feelings associated with them can change the way we are able to move through even the most challenging times. There is a saying “as in birth, so in life” (or maybe it wasn’t a saying until I started saying it!), but I found myself seeing it everywhere and realizing the truth that while we cannot control what life offers us, we do have the power to intentionally prepare for or recover from what we endure.
