Finding a therapist is hard enough, but in a post October 7th world, finding a therapist who makes you feel safe and accepted as a Jewish or Jewish aligned person or a zionist has added an overwhelming level of complexity and fear.
As a seasoned individual and couples therapist but first and foremost as a Jewish woman, I want people to know that you can breathe and just focus on what you are seeking support for without having to walk on eggshells.
My therapeutic style is supportive, empowering and kindly direct. I want to ensure that when someone is in a session with me, that they feel heard and also that they challenge themselves to grow and to achieve their personal goals. There is no such thing as TMI in my office and there is no need to apologize for crying too much or for repeating yourself or for feeling your feelings. The therapeutic space is whatever you feel you need in YOUR process.
I utilize an eclectic array of therapeutic styles and approaches that are tailored specifically to whoever I am working with as everyone is different and there is no one size fits all. I am a licensed sex therapist, Gottman trained, EMDR trained, cognitive behavioral therapy and exposure response and prevention trained as well as other modalities.
I am interactive and engaged with anyone I work with and am open to any feedback and encourage people to let me know what styles do and don’t work for them so that I can work with them in the most effective way.
