Marissa Keilson, LCSW-C is the grandchild of Holocaust survivors which inspired her career as a trauma therapist. Marissa received her degree in clinical social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. With a warm and non-judgmental perspective, her calming presence and years of experience helps individuals heal, grow and develop into their best and strongest selves. She has spent thirteen years working with victims of domestic violence and sexual violence, as well as with clients recovering from war-based PTSD, traumatic grief, and healing the wounds of intergenerational trauma. Marissa uses a blend of cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic and expressive therapuetic techniques in her work with her clients. As a Level 3 Gottman Couples Therapist, Marissa also helps couples navigate relationship challenges. In addition to working at a private practice in Maryland, Marissa works as a therapist and trauma educator for a new organization, Help for Anxious Jews.
