I specialize in young adult issues, especially, life transitions, trauma, and LGBT concerns. I believe in treating underlying causes and improving symptoms rather than labeling them. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help my clients achieve their personal goals. I offer these comprehensive psychological services by tailoring my approach to suit each client’s needs and involving the client in the process. I am confident that I can help you navigate any difficult life transition, interpersonal conflict, personal challenge, and/or mental health-related complication or situation that you are facing.
I have conducted therapy with worker’s compensation and personal injury patients at IBEMED/Healthpointe, substance abusing teens at Juvenile Drug Court, and community college students at Orange Coast College. I have also worked as a mental health evaluator and prospective adoption consultant as well as a crisis interventionist for a suicide hotline.
I have received extensive training in the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I also received training in addictions treatment, trauma, neurocognitive, impediments, LGBT issues, human sexuality/kink awareness, patient advocacy, and empowerment.
