I help people who know that something is getting in the way — past experience, trauma, chronic pain — get unstuck using EMDR, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), parts as well as other attachment and trauma informed approaches.
I have over 25 years of therapy experience. I customize care collaboratively using a range of techniques and approaches.
I am a Certified EMDR Therapist (with EMDRIA) and certifying DBR therapist, and certified in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) and authorized SIP trainer.
My background is also 25 years+ of chaplaincy having been ordained a Reconstructionist rabbi whose penchant has always been to facilitate and accompany instead of “hold forth” or overtly lead.
My trauma practice is holistic. It goes from brain stem to soul.
I have a passion for a client-centered, collaborative work. I believe pain and problems can be catalyst for healing, enduring change, and growth.
I see the client-therapist relationship as a sacred trust.
I admire the courage and resolve it takes to pursue and apply EMDR, DBR, attachment and related trauma-informed therapies.
I respect people who walk through my door. I find it exciting when a client frees up from attachment, trauma, pain and other difficulties, gains insight, discovers personal strength or improves based on our work together. Client reports of feeling better or more whole are worth celebrating!
I enjoy collaborating with therapist (including possibly yours) who do not do EMDR or DBR in conjoint treatment for short or long term work.
