I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years experience in the field. I see both adolescents and adults in family and individual therapy. I am part of a group practice and offer both in-person and virtual therapy.
I earned her masters degree in social work from New York University, and have practiced in a variety of settings including residential treatment, inpatient psychiatry and school social work. I have extensive experience working with patients with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, ADHD, along with many other life stressors.
I gravitate towards a strengths-based approach, using a person’s skills and experience as the basis to improve both outlook and resilience. I incorporate a variety of tools, including cognitive behavioral therapy and concepts from dialectical behavioral therapy. I recognize families as an interconnected unit and work with parents to learn skills and tools to best support their children’s needs, while exploring their own patterns of behavior in order to strengthen a family’s emotional health.
I strongly believes that engaging in therapy is an act of courage, and am grateful for the opportunity to support my clients through each of their unique, individualized processes.
