Education: I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Concentration in Child Psychology) from Bradley University and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at Argosy University, Twin Cities. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Therapy practice:
‘The journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single step.” Lao Tzu
Therapy is a journey, it is a marathon, not a sprint. This is one of the first things I tell clients; there is no set timeline to healing.
My modalities are based in Cognitive Behavioral therapy as well as family systems and family of origin. I work with a wide age range of clients as well (4 and up). I am Autism competent, and LGBTQIA+ affirming. I also am able to do diagnostic assessments on young children (4 and up) as a DC 0-5 Assessor for the State of Minnesota.
I will be starting to accept clients for TFBCT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for clients 6-18 years of age) in July of 2024.
