Brainspotting Phase 1
Shalom Chaverim! Brainspotting Phase 1 with Jana Glass was so popular we hosted 2 rounds in 2024. Please contact us if you’re interested in joining a session in 2025.
“Brainspotting is a cutting-edge neuro-experiential based approach that promotes deep healing. It is a brain-based therapy based on the hypothesis that specific eye positions designated as “brainspots” activate and access specific areas of the midbrain that allow for the reprocessing and releasing of core neurophysiological reactions to trauma-related and other psychological experiences.
In addition, Brainspotting is built on a model that emphasizes therapist-client presence and attunement in the healing process. As an open and integrative model, Brainspotting is adaptable to many different areas of specialization and can be integrated with other treatment models.”
ABOUT JANA GLASS, LPC (Georgia)
Jana is a highly sought-after therapist educator, consultant and trainer. Her expertise spans perinatal mental health, addictions, and the vast array of trauma. A justice and equity-aligned professional, Jana is a fellow Jewish therapist who has stepped up to offer this training so our community can learn and grow as professionals with shared vantage points, in the safety and bravery of an affinity space.
We’ll be covering the full contents of the official Brainspotting Phase I curriculum while including Jewish community-based experiences that impact both clients and clinicians—something you won’t get elsewhere.
This training is also unique for its neurodiversity-affirming, working therapist, and easily digestible structure. By breaking it up into five smaller days over two different weeks, you’ll absorb the information at a depth and comprehension unmatched by the traditional 3 day “intensive” structure, allowing big concepts a chance to breathe and stand on their own.

Brainspotting Training Frequently Asked Questions
Are CEs available?
This training is accredited by the University of Georgia for 21 CEs. Please check with your local board to see if it meets your individual licensure needs.
Will recordings be available?
Brainspotting training is intended to be highly relational and relies on the experiential component illustrated by live demonstrations along with live practicum. Each segment builds on the next segment and it is important that participants commit to be present for all 21 hours of training.
There may be times where unanticipated interruptions occur and as long as those are minimal, the course will be considered complete. Individuals who miss large segments of the training will not be eligible for continuing education and depending upon length of absence may not be eligible for course completion.
At the discretion of the trainer, Jana Glass, the training may be recorded and made available for up to two weeks for viewing only for individuals to review parts they were not clear about during the live training.
I heard that, after the JTC began offering Brainspotting trainings, other Brainspotting training marketed to Jewish therapists have emerged. Why is that and what is the benefit of taking the JTC one?
The Jewish Therapist Collective is an advocacy and community support organization that has been serving therapists and the clients we care about for the better part of a decade. While our non-revenue-generating resources for the community have been going for quite some time, we realized after much desire from the community, that Jewish therapists are looking to build community and learn in spaces where our dignity and identities are respected. So we were and are at the forefront of bringing seasoned, powerhouse trainers and leaders to the community for clinical and cultural learning. We bring a legacy of care and advocacy experience, as well as a lens of Jewish-affirming competence (which is more than just being Jewish) to everything we do, and pair it with incredible training. You also have the benefit of knowing that revenue, which is not excessive due to us keeping costs to attendees low, also advances our advocacy and community-building work!
-I loved learning about Brainspotting from Jana, who is so passionate and experienced in guiding clients through this process. It was amazing to watch her lead the demos and hear her thoughtful answers to questions.
-I felt so connected with the other clinicians and felt not only that I learned an incredible amount, but also that I was able to engage in my own healing (which I was not expecting!).
-I loved pretty much every facet of this training--Jana, the safe Jewish cohort, Jewish themes applied in demo and content, I now love Brainspotting!
